Need two separate Automatic Purchase order printing setups

Description of Issue

Two separate Purchase order forms with separate templates, need automatic printing setup for each in the system without overlapping the processes.

Cause

Two separate signatures on purchase order templates and would like automatic printing of all purchase orders

Resolution

Once the two separate auto printer definitions have been created

  1. Navigate to Purchasing Settings Munis > Financials > Purchasing > Setup > Purchasing Settings
  2. Select Requisition and Purchase Order Settings tab
  3. Click Update
  4. The following message displays: WARNING: Updates to purchasing settings should be done with all users out of purchasing programs. Would you like to continue to update? Click Yes
  5. Click box next to Allow Auto Printing of Purchase Orders so that a checkmark displays
  6. Select one of the printer setups 
  7. Click Accept

To set the second definition to Auto print separately to the purchasing settings setup

  1. Go into User Attributes
  2. Search for final approvers on REQ if you have auto Approve, Post, and print Purchase order, Or search for the final approvers on POE if you have the workflow setup
    1. Note all final approvers on the workflow need to have this setup
  3. Click the Attributes tab 
  4. Update 
  5. Add the secondary automatic print setup under the Default PO auto-print printer
  6. Accept

This will override the Purchasing settings and auto print the POs to the definition set here

Prerequisites

Before you can successfully use this feature, you must ensure that the necessary settings and codes are in place. If settings and codes are not set up, or not set up correctly, you may need to contact your Munis system administrator or department manager to have them updated or added into the Munis system.

  • You must have access to PO Settings
  • You must have the appropriate Purchase Order Permissions
  • Tyler Forms Printer has been defined in Printer Definitions (will be two separate printers ex. AUPO, AUPS)
  • Purchase Order Forms must be installed on the Tyler Forms Server
