Project String Inquiry - Negative Encumbrance Amounts

Why are project year's encumbrance amount negative?

• Project Expense String
• Encumbrance liquidation (Credit)
• Journal Source Codes (COM, COL, POM, POL, EXL)

The sum of amounts for encumbrance has more credit than debit.

If header amount matches detail there is no issue.  Amounts should sum the supporting journal line detail.

• Project years do not always align with General Ledger Fiscal Year. Journal amounts will display were effective date lands in the project's year.
• Life to Date (LTD) projects have project year Encumbrance and SOY Encumbrance which is the sum of all historic encumbrances.
• Project String discrepancy between header detail amounts for Budget, Actuals, Encumbrances or Requisitions
