The Retirement option from the Detail menu will take you to the retirement maintenance program for the State defined in the General - State Code for Retirement System option from the Payroll Control Settings program, when there is a maintenance program for the defined state.

Enter your State abbreviation code in the General - State Code for Retirement System option in the Payroll Control Settings program. 

  1. Go to Payroll Control Settings (Payroll>Payroll Setup>Payroll Control Settings)

  2. Double click on the setting for General - State Code for Retirement System.

  3. Click Update.

  4. Define your two-character State abbreviation code.

  5. Click Accept

The Retirement option in the Detail of Employee Master is just a shortcut to the retirement maintenance program for your state, which is also available from your state specific menu.
