The Import Journals program offers an option to create a Standard Excel Import template.

Financials> General Ledger Menu> Journal Entry/History> Import Journals

• In 11.3, select Define, select Standard Excel Import, then click click Generate Excel Template to the right of the Import Source field. 
• In versions 2017.1 and above, select Define, then click select Standard Excel, then click Generate to the right of the Import format field.
• Open the downloaded file showing on the lower screen.
