The Update Paid Parcels program reviews the unpaid balance for each parcel in the current tax sale year. Property owners are encouraged to pay delinquencies before the end of tax sale date to avoid going to the auction. The program determines if bills have been paid and . If processed, it updates the initial lien with a Hold/Removed flag of 'R' if so. This removes , which removes the parcel from further tax sale processing and reports.

Note: The Update Paid Parcels program should be run regularly, either nightly or weekly, to determine if bills have been paid.

  1. Navigate to the Update Paid Parcels program either by searching or using the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Region > State > Tax Sale Processing > Tax Sale Processing > Update Paid Parcels
  2. Click Define.
  3. Select the Reason Code for the removal of parcels. Example: Paid, Paid Off, Small Balance, etc.
  4. Enter an Effective Date. Default is today's date.
  5. Enter a minimum balance bill amount to exclude. This is the amount remaining on bills associated with the parcel.
  6. Select whether to Include interest in minimum balance due or not.
  7. Select whether to Update as paid when delinquent only in prior year or not. 
  8. Select whether to Disregard unpaid balances in years greater than tax sale year or not.  
  9. Click Accept.
  10. Click Select.
  11. Click Output-Post.
  12. Select Yes or No to the Update Parcels dialog box that appears. 
    • The Hold/Remove flag on the Lien record will be updated to 'R' for removed.
    • The Reason Code on the Lien record will be updated with the Reason code provided onscreen.
    • Processed parcels are removed from further Tax Sale Processing and Reports.
