Tyler Deploy maintains open communication between central deploy server and client end servers, want to be able to turn this off in certain circumstances.

Tyler Deploy can be disabled by stopping Octopus Tentacle service on client end server.

  1. To find and disable this service, first click Search on taskbar and type Services

  2. Once open, locate service which includes text OctopusDeploy Tentacle.

  2. Right-click OctopusDeploy Tentacle service and click Stop.

  3. To prevent OctopusDeploy Tentacle service from launching at startup, right-click on OctopusDeploy Tentacle and click Properties.

  2. Properties window will open, under General tab click Startup Type dropdown and set to Disabled.
