Any salary change that is made, whether it's through Personnel Actions/Salary Changes/Imports/etc, will generate retro if they have the retro control setting enabled. To view the Payroll Control Setting: - Go to Payroll Control Settings (Human Capital Management > Payroll > Payroll Setup > Payroll Control Settings)
- Locate the setting for GENERAL - ENABLE RETRO PAY PROCESSING BY EFFECTIVE DATE.
- If set to Yes, this option will allow for retroactive pay records to be created when changes are made to employee pay records and these changes impact previously generated earnings.
