I am receiving the following error when adding an employee into payroll. :

Location/GroupBU Group BU restrictions exist which prevent adding this employee.

Location and Group/BU restrictions were defined on the generate screen which did not include the employee's Group/BU and location Location codes.

Employee Group fields were blank to blank instead of blank to ZZZZ

Access Generate Earnings and Deductions: Payroll > Payroll Processing > Generate Earnings and Deductions
Click Define, TAB into the Location From field, delete the current data
Press SPACE and then TAB into the next fieldTo field and define ZZZZ to include all employees.
Repeat step 3 for all ranges (Location, Group/BU and Employee Group)
Click Accept
