DTDF field needs to be removed from the journal header and users will need the General Ledger permission to Allow one sided journal entries.

General JournalEntry or Accounting Entries

  1. Browse to Financials > General Ledger Menu > Journal Entry/History > General Journal Entry/Proof 

  2. From the ribbon, select Add.

  3. Complete journal header fields, as required. 

  4. When you have completed the fields for the journal header, the program automatically moves to the Journal Lines group.

  5. Enter journal details by line.

Once you have entered your one-sided entry and click Accept you will get a warning "Journal out of balance by amount", this is a warning as long as permission Allow one sided journal entries is granted. 

  1. Browse to Financials > General Ledger Menu > Journal Entry/History > Accounting Entries

  2. From the General Journal tab,

select 
  1. select Add Journal.

  2. Complete the journal header fields

  3. After completing the header fields, select

 Save
  1.  Save.

  2. Under Journal Lines,

select 
  1. select Add Line to specify the accounts and amounts.

  2. After completing the detail fields,

select 
  1. select Save.
