  • MUNIS General Ledger can assist with changing from 1 - GAAP to 3 - GAAP/Budgetary Combined
  • Implementation would need to be contacted for any other changes. Please contact your MUNIS Sales Representative to discuss scheduling Implementation assistance. 
    • Timing when making such a change is crucial 

    If the carryforward method is changing from or to Method 2 or 4, you'll need to contact your Tyler Tech Sales Representative to schedule implementation time for this change. Changes where type 2 or 4 are involved require precise timing in relation to year end close as well as extensive testing in a non production environment. Making this change without Tyler Tech assistance is likely to result in year end close stoppages.

    If the carryforward method is changing from 1 to 3, or 3 to 1, follow the steps below. This change should be made in a non production environment prior to the Year End Close process, once the change and YEC has been validated in the non production environment, the change can be made in live.

    Financials > General Ledger Menu > Setup Chart of Accounts > General Ledger Settings

    1. Budget Settings
    2. Update
    3. Select Desired CFWD method
      1. Acceptable changes are changing form 1 to 3 or 3 to 1.
      2. If changing to CFWD method 3, the option is present to enable or disable the Create carry forward BUA at end of year option.
    4. Accept
