  1. Can the new employee see the Shared Report Definition (SRD) the previous employee created?

    1. If Yes, move on to Step 2.

    2. If No, please contact State Reporting Support for assistance.

  2.  Are the reporting parameters on the existing SRD accurate?

    1. If Yes, no additional steps are necessary.  The new employee should process the report using the existing SRD.

      1.  The Owner ID is simply displaying the user ID of the individual that initially created the parameters.

      2. It is not necessary, or recommended, to create a Shared Report Definition for every user ID that will process the report.  Shared Report Definitions exist because there is generally only one "correct" define.  Copying from user to user runs the risk of one user changing a parameter on their Shared Report Definition that doesn't get changed for anyone else, leading to inaccurate reporting.

    2. If No, move on to Step 3.

  3. If you can see the SRD and the reporting parameters are not accurate use one of the options below:

    1. Have the user who created the Shared Report Definition (or someone logged in with that user id) grant update permissions

      1. Click Share the currently selected report definition with other users

      2. Enter a Report Definition name for the new Shared Report Definition.  Tyler recommends including the Year in the Report Definition name so it's easy to see which SRD is the most recent.

      3. Make the parameter changes you need

      4. Select Accept
